Swiss bank to release NFT collection to support women’s football
Credit Suisse will issue NFT collection on the Ethereum network to support women’s football in Switzerland.
For purchase, 756 non-fungible tokens will be available, representing portraits of players from the Swiss women’s national football team. They were created by artist Daniela Filippelli.
The NFTs can be purchased from July 11 to August 31 via the official Credit Suisse app — CSX. 100% of proceeds from sales will go to the development of women’s football in Switzerland.
The prices of the non-fungible tokens in the collection depend on their rarity: unique ones will be sold for $11,165, rare for $3,900, and limited edition for $167.
“This project paves the way for the innovative use of digital assets in new models of financing and servicing,” said Daniel Gorrera, head of the digital assets department at Credit Suisse.
The bank uses Taurus infrastructure — a startup that offers custody, tokenization and trading of digital assets.
Earlier, in March, Taurus raised $65 million in a Series B round led by Credit Suisse.
