
Bybit to award $8m in WSOT 2023 trader tournament
The Bybit cryptocurrency exchange announced its annual trader competition, the World Series of Trading (WSOT) 2023. Registration opened on July 24. The event will start on August 7. Forklog was told by representatives of the trading platform.
From 2020 to 2022 WSOT saw participation by almost 117,000 traders from around the world, and trading volume exceeded $177 billion. This year, famous crypto traders and industry representatives will join the tournament, including The Moon, CryptoBanter, GINAREA and Cornix.
The WSOT 2023 prize pool will be a record $8 million. In addition, on August 24 the exchange will give away a Rolex Explorer watch and a Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder live.
Participants can form a team of traders or join an existing one. The exchange will run several activities:
- Team Tournament — a team-based trading competition with a prize pool of 6,000,000 USDT;
- Copytrader Ring — top traders and subscribers will share a prize pool of 300,000 USDT;
- Arena of Luck — the exchange will award up to $1,000 in BTC for completing five simple tasks from July 24 to August 17;
- Friends Relay — participants will receive up to 12,000 USDT from a prize pool of 80,000 USDT for inviting friends.

“We are in for an exciting contest of talent and strategy. We invite all traders to become part of the global trader competition as participants or spectators, as this event brings together the best of the best in the crypto world,” said Bybit co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou.
Bybit — a cryptocurrency exchange with support for spot and futures trading, options, staking, DeFi mining, NFTs, and P2P deals. The platform launched a debit card in partnership with Mastercard, and integrated the ApeX Pro decentralized exchange.
Earlier, Bybit obtained licenses to provide exchange and custody services for digital assets in Cyprus and in Kazakhstan.
