WhiteBIT launches WB Network mainnet

The cryptocurrency exchange WhiteBIT announced the launch of the WB Network mainnet.

At its core, the mainnet uses a Proof-of-Authority consensus mechanism. The network is based on the Geth client.

The native token is WhiteBIT Coin (WBT). Before the WB Network launch, it underwent an audit by Hacken.

The mainnet will offer lower fees and faster transaction processing.

With the launch of the mainnet, users also gained access to the WB Soul ecosystem. It enables anonymous creation of a digital identity using attributes and soulbound tokens.

Owners of such accounts will be able to participate in the SoulDrop program, under which WBT holders are rewarded through a redistribution of commissions.

WhiteBIT unveiled the WB Network roadmap in 2022. In April 2023, the platform launched a blockchain testnet.

In December 2022, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine introduced blockchain courses in partnership with WhiteBIT, the Filecoin Foundation and the social metaverse Atlantis World.
