Ergo team accuses CoinMarketCap of extortion
The cryptocurrency data aggregator CoinMarketCap is demanding payment for making changes to an asset page on its site. The Ergo blockchain platform team said so.

The Ergo blockchain platform team said so.
According to them, they contacted the service administration with a request to correct information about the coin’s circulating supply.
In response, a CoinMarketCap representative sent a form which, among other things, included a clause demanding payment of an invoice for $5000.
As a result, Ergo questioned the data’s timeliness from the aggregator.
The situation has not yet been commented on by CoinMarketCap.
Earlier in January, representatives of SaTT and TokenBot accused CoinMarketCap of conducting fake airdrops.
In particular, they pointed to potential manipulation of the system, noting that the assets used to raise awareness about the projects were, instead of being distributed among thousands of users, sent to a limited number of addresses.
