“We are pleased to inform you that the network is now fully operational. In due course, we will provide additional information about the issue that occurred,” the message said.
On December 18, around 16:00 MSK (15:00 Kyiv), the team reported a “critical situation” in the blockchain that led to a halt in block production. It assured that users’ assets were safe but asked to temporarily refrain from deposits and withdrawals.
Around 21:00, the developers said they had identified the issue, which would take several hours to fix.
The price of the ZIL token, which had fallen amid the incident, had recovered to around $0.023 at the time of writing. In the last 24 hours, it rose by almost 8%, according to CoinGecko.
Earlier in July 2022, the Zilliqa team had to relaunch the network after a smart-contract outage.
