OpenAI Launches AI-Powered Browser Atlas
OpenAI unveils Atlas browser with AI chatbot and assistants.
OpenAI has unveiled its Atlas browser, featuring an integrated chatbot and AI assistants.

“Use ChatGPT on the internet for instant answers, smarter prompts, and task assistance—all with privacy settings you can control,” states the website.
The solution is free and available for download, though currently only supported on macOS.
The browser’s main feature is the “Ask ChatGPT” button. Clicking it allows users to inquire about the content of an open tab using AI.

The integrated chatbot can autonomously interact with websites, but only with user permission and under full user control, OpenAI clarified. This feature can be used for task execution, information retrieval, and online shopping.

However, this solution is only available to paid subscribers of Plus, Pro, and Business plans.
The browser also features a context menu accessible via right-click. By selecting text, users can request ChatGPT to enhance or correct it.

Other features of Atlas include:
- AI search engine;
- page and task memory;
- code analysis;
- customization options.
Back in October, OpenAI and tech giant Google introduced updated versions of AI models for video generation.
