A Mere 0.55% of Microsoft Shareholders Back Bitcoin Reserve Proposal
The proposal by The National Center for Public Policy Research (NCPPR) to allocate 1% of assets for purchasing the leading cryptocurrency was supported by only 0.55% of Microsoft shareholders.
The shareholders’ decision followed the board of directors’ rejection of the idea, citing the asset’s volatility.
MicroStrategy’s CEO, Michael Saylor, presented the Bitcoin strategy, estimating that its implementation would increase Microsoft’s market capitalization by $4.9 trillion.
According to Polymarket, the initiative’s likelihood of success was estimated at 12-16%.

Currently, only 0.01% of publicly traded companies worldwide hold the leading cryptocurrency, according to OKG Research.
Earlier, on December 8, NCPPR made a similar proposal to Amazon shareholders.
