Aave community backs deployment of Aave V3 on zkSync Era

On April 16, the Aave community signaled support for deploying the third version of the decentralized exchange protocol on the zkSync Era network during a so-called ‘temperature check’.

According to the proposal, the next steps will be a new voting phase, assessment of risk parameters, and the finalization of the deployment strategy.

The protocol’s integration will be limited to US dollar–pegged stablecoins and Ethereum.

zkSync Era is L2 solution for scaling the Ethereum network. EVM-compatible protocol built on the basis of zero-knowledge proofs. On March 24, the Matter Labs team launched the alpha version of zkSync on the mainnet.

According to the proposal, deployment could benefit the Aave ecosystem by attracting new users to decentralized finance and strengthening the exchange’s position as a leading lending platform.

Earlier the Aave community voted to integrate with the BNB Chain, StarkNet, and Polygon zkEVM.

In April, the DAO Uniswap also approved a proposal to integrate the third version of the protocol on Polygon zkEVM.
