Abu Dhabi to Develop $2.5 Billion AI City

Bold Technologies, based in Abu Dhabi, in partnership with AI firm My Aion, has launched a ‘smart city’ initiative aimed at transforming urban infrastructure through artificial intelligence.

The parties announced the development of a platform called Aion Sentia Cognitive City, designed to manage complex urban systems. It will operate on the Maia AI engine developed by My Aion. The project aims to optimize and manage energy, education, healthcare, transport, and digital services systems.

The initiative is valued at $2.5 billion and is being implemented under the Build-Operate-Transfer model.

“This project will help create jobs for UAE citizens, stimulate local innovation, and make a significant contribution to the national AI ecosystem,” noted BOLD Technologies CEO Thani Al Thani Al Falasi.

Following its launch in Abu Dhabi, the project is planned to expand to the international market. The launch is expected in a year and a half.

Bold Technologies is a subsidiary of the Bold Holdings conglomerate.

Back in February, during the ‘Podcast Society’ on ForkLog’s YouTube channel, Kuna exchange founder Mikhail Chobanyan stated that in the future, humanity will delegate its primary life functions, including those currently performed by the state, to artificial intelligence.
