Adobe unveils new Photoshop feature for NFT creators

Adobe software maker unveiled a new feature in the graphic editor Photoshop aimed at non-fungible token (NFT) creators. Details were disclosed by the company’s chief product officer Scott Belsky in the podcast Decoder.

According to him, the tool will enable preparing images as NFTs and embedding creator metadata. Potential NFT buyers can verify these credentials on the сайте.

“By adding social media and wallet addresses to their credentials, you can further reassure consumers that you truly are the creator of your content,” в блоге of the company.

Mr. Belsky noted that the development of the new solution was driven by demand — artists complained about copying artworks created in Photoshop.

Adobe will employ an open-source method to sign the image with the creator’s identity.

As part of the initiative, the company has partnered with NFT marketplaces OpenSea, KnownOrigin, Rarible and SuperRare. Content creators will also be able to showcase their NFTs on their Behance pages — they will include links to the marketplaces.

Earlier Visa and artist Mika Johnson agreed to launch an educational project, which will help digital-art creators learn about the potential of NFTs.

Earlier in October, venture firm Sino Global Capital announced the creation of a $200 million fund to invest in DeFi— and NFT infrastructure.
