AI Agent Introduced in Ukraine’s Diia App

A personal AI agent based on Google’s Gemini has been introduced in Ukraine’s state application, Diia. The assistant facilitates quicker access to services directly through chat, as reported on the service’s official Telegram channel.

“No longer do you need to search for the required service yourself. Write to ‘Diia.AI’ what you need — it will guide you, select the service for your situation, and suggest further steps,” the announcement states.

To use the assistant, update the app, after which it will appear in the bottom menu.

The assistant can:

• provide 24/7 consultation on services in Diia;
• select services for specific life situations;
• generate a registration statement for an adult or child directly in chat;
• inform about traffic violation fines;
• give step-by-step instructions — for example, on how to open a sole proprietorship.

“’Diia.AI’ is not just a chatbot. It is an AI agent that not only responds but also helps perform actions,” the developers noted.

In September, Ukraine launched the “world’s first” state AI agent on the Diia portal. Initially, it operated in an open beta test format.

In November, the country’s government initiated a joint venture with Nvidia to create a sovereign artificial intelligence.
