AI Alliance Integrates Self-Learning Proto-AGI into Minecraft

SingularityNET and ASI Alliance have launched the “first self-learning proto-AGI in Minecraft,” according to a Cointelegraph report citing a press release.

Unlike standard game AI, the introduced neural network can “adapt, navigate, and create rules in real-time,” marking “a leap in the development of artificial general intelligence.”

Autonomous Intelligent Reinforcement Inferred Symbolism (AIRIS) operates independently of preset rules and can evolve when faced with new tasks and stimuli. The launch of AIRIS in Minecraft “opens up prospects for its application in robotics, automation, and intelligent systems capable of solving real-time tasks.”

Proto-AGI represents an intermediate stage towards the creation of artificial general intelligence. This term refers to systems that already possess broader cognitive abilities than specialized narrow AI but have not yet reached the level of full AGI.

It is claimed that the practicality of AIRIS aligns well with the unpredictable world of Minecraft, providing an environment to test the limits of autonomous AI learning. SingularityNET and ASI Alliance view the integration as a controlled test for future applications.

“Minecraft is ideal for this purpose—it is widely popular, meets all technical requirements for AI integration, and is already used as a benchmark for reinforcement learning. This will allow us to directly compare AIRIS’s performance with existing algorithms,” commented a representative of ASI Alliance.

Back in March, SingularityNet, Fetch.ai, and Ocean Protocol agreed to merge. The merger of platforms formed the “Artificial Superintelligence Alliance” with a native coin, Artificial Superintelligence (ASI).

In October, SingularityDAO, Cogito Finance, and SelfKey planned to merge into a joint project aimed at tokenizing the AI economy.
