AI Bots Invade OnlyFans, Reports Suggest

Some adult content creators on OnlyFans are employing chatbots to interact with subscribers, according to an investigation by Reuters

The agency reports that performers are using services from specialized firms to communicate with their audience. An example is the American company NEO Agency, which has developed an AI-based chatbot called FlirtFlow.

The firm claims that the solution creates “genuine and meaningful” interactions with people. The bot “doesn’t just send messages; it forms real connections.”

Reuters notes that OnlyFans’ rules prohibit the use of AI-based chatbots. However, approximately 70 adult content creators use NEO Agency’s services. Half of them employ FlirtFlow, according to the company’s CEO, Luke Jarvis. Dozens of other performers use solutions from around 20 similar agencies.

According to Jarvis, a few years ago AI couldn’t flirt, but now it does so better than humans.

“You can’t just jump to the typical: ‘Hey daddy, tip me.’ You have to start with a real understanding of the fan. Where is he from? What’s his problem? Why does he hate his boss? What’s his dog’s name? You’re gathering information. Otherwise, how are you going to connect with him? How are you going to get money from him?” he noted.

Chatbots are most effective for popular accounts, as “even a team of 14 people can be too small,” Jarvis noted. They are less suitable for creators with a small user base accustomed to “very personalized communication,” as this is more likely to appear suspicious.

The CEO of NEO Agency pointed out that humans still outperform artificial intelligence when it comes to subscribers with specific erotic preferences such as submission and domination.

Another example cited by Reuters is Botly. Founded in 2023, the Australian company also provides AI tools for interacting with subscribers on OnlyFans.

Earlier, OnlyFans’ parent company invested $19.9 million in Ethereum and added NFT support.

In July, an AI model won a beauty contest.
