On OpenSea, BAYC token #3850 is listed for sale for the first time — previously it had only been transferred between different owners. The NFT has a number of rare traits: the blue gang appears in 0.89% of the collection, and blue diamond teeth in 0.78%.
According to OpenSea, the minimum price of tokens from the BAYC collection is 100.5 ETH (~$285,000).
Earlier the account JustinBieberNFTS purchased BYAC #3001 for 500 ETH (over $1.3 million at the time). In the community speculated that the token purchase could have been financed by the designer of Bieber’s fashion brand Drew Gianpierre D’Alessandro. The latter is also the founder of the NFT collection inBetweeners.
It is unclear whether the Canadian artist controls the account in question; however, on his Instagram he posted images of several NFTs that he had just purchased. One of them — inBetweeners #1931 — was indeed purchased by JustinBieberNFTS, which points to a link between Bieber and the address.
Back in January 2022, an NFT from the BAYC collection purchased by American rapper Eminem. He paid 123.45 ETH (over $450,000 at the time).
