Altcoins Show Resilience Amid Bitcoin's Volatility

Altcoins are exhibiting greater stability amidst the sharp volatility of Bitcoin, which has fallen below the $100,000 mark. This conclusion was reached by Bitwise, according to The Block.

Experts suggest that this divergence may indicate a decoupling of previous correlations.

According to Bitwise, major altcoins are outperforming digital gold in both weekly and monthly metrics. For instance, Ethereum and Solana show a daily decline of 1% compared to Bitcoin’s 5% drop after it fell below $100,000 on the night of December 6.

A similar pattern emerged following Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential election a month ago.

“Our altseason index shows that 85% of the altcoins we track have outperformed Bitcoin over the past 30 days. They are driven by a greater variety of investment scenarios. They exhibit an increasing dispersion of performance among themselves,” the review states.

Experts noted a significant decrease in correlation between Bitcoin and other digital assets.

“This indicates a greater potential for alpha than before the US elections,” the experts concluded.

Earlier, Swyftx’s leading analyst Pav Hundal outlined the conditions for a “bloodbath” in XRP.
