AltLayer Airdrop’s Largest Beneficiaries Revealed

AltLayer Airdrop's Largest Beneficiaries Revealed

The airdrop from the AltLayer platform, which commenced on January 25 at 9:00 UTC (11:00 Kyiv/12:00 Moscow), saw participation from over 29,000 wallets. One user received 1.29 million ALT worth $408,000, as noted by Arkham Intelligence.

The second-largest claim amounted to 1.19 million ALT ($367,000). Previously, this user had spent only 5.5 ETH on purchasing AltLayer OG NFT badges.

Both addresses exhibited similar activity on the network — purchasing the project’s NFTs in August 2022 and remaining inactive until the distribution. After receiving the tokens, they began transferring them to new addresses.

The third-largest allocation was 898,800 ALT ($262,900). The coins were sent to five new addresses.

The user who received the fourth-largest claim — approximately 650,000 ALT ($194,800) — purchased the project’s NFT in mid-2023. Previously, they participated in the Oh Ottie! NFT airdrop.

The total size of the airdrop was 300 million ALT tokens ($93 million), representing 3% of the total supply.

Rewards are distributed to holders of the project’s NFTs, as well as qualified EigenLayer restakers and Celestia stakers.

Starting today, trading of the ALT token has commenced on centralized exchanges, including Binance.

Within the first four hours post-launch, the total trading volume of the coin exceeded $300 million, according to CoinGecko. At the time of writing, the price of ALT stands at $0.31.

The RaaS platform AltLayer enables developers to create customized L2 networks.

Previously, the project raised $22.8 million through two rounds of private token sales, allocating 18.5% of the ALT supply.
