The NFT marketplace OpenSea has raised $23 million in a Series A round, led by Silicon Valley venture firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z).

Other investors include Mark Cuban, Naval Ravikant, Belinda Johnson and others. The funds will be used to scale the NFT marketplace’s operations.
Earlier, a16z led the Series A round for the Ethereum layer-2 solution Optimism raising $25 million. Before that, the venture firm invested in the startup Celo.
From February 4 to March 4, trading volume across the 12 largest NFT platforms reached a record $480 million.
