Police in Angarsk have detained four suspects in the theft of cryptocurrency mining equipment.
According to the МВД, the detainees, men aged 17 to 24, stole equipment valued at 180,000 rubles that was kept in a garage.
During searches, investigators found most of the missing equipment at one of the suspects’ garages. The equipment will be returned to its owner.
A criminal case has been opened for theft; the suspects are being investigated for possible involvement in other similar crimes committed in Irkutsk Oblast.
Earlier in July in Irkutsk five suspects were arrested in a series of thefts of ASIC miners.
