In terms of blocks mined, the company overtook its American rival for the first time since January 2022 — 1,219 to 1,216.
The reward amounted to 8,672 BTC after deducting 83.6 BTC, allocated for return.
TheMinerMag noted that Foundry USA’s lead over AntPool began to narrow in the summer of 2023.
The catalyst was the shipment of 4,800 metric tons of Antminer S19XP and S19XP Hydro to Antpool’s subsidiary from June to November. The publication estimates that the total hashrate of the shipments surpassed 37 EH/s.
Journalists explained that the exact figure remains unclear. In October, Bitmain temporarily suspended payments to employees due to “unsatisfactory performance metrics in deploying miners at mining sites”.
TheMinerMag suggested that part of the devices were deployed by the company on its own behalf.
Earlier, an expert discovered that the F2Pool mining pool blocked transactions involving an address from SDN-list OFAC.
