Aptos Price Nears All-Time High

The cryptocurrency Aptos surged over 11% in a day, surpassing the $18 mark.

Over the past week, the coin has grown by 12%, with its market capitalization exceeding $7.3 billion.

The asset’s all-time high was recorded in January 2023 at $19.92, according to CoinGecko. 

Aptos Labs, the team behind the blockchain platform, has recently introduced several initiatives. Last month, the company proposed a new authentication method for users when signing transactions, eliminating the need for passwords. 

Prior to this, Aptos Labs partnered with Microsoft and collaborated with Google Cloud to implement Web3 solutions across various sectors, including gaming. 

The project was founded by former employees of Diem (formerly Libra), Meta’s blockchain, which was shut down in early 2022.

According to the developers, the use of parallelization technology allows Aptos to achieve speeds of over 160,000 transactions per second.

In August 2023, the project team introduced the Aptos Digital Asset (DA) token standard, offering “unmatched flexibility, composability, and scalability.”

In February, the Aptos Foundation, in partnership with Jambo Technology, launched a Web3 smartphone for emerging markets.
