Arkham Assesses Justin Sun’s Cryptocurrency Holdings

The digital assets owned by Tron founder Justin Sun have been valued at $1.04 billion, according to data from Arkham Intelligence.

Justin Sun is well known in crypto as an entrepreneur, angel investor, and TRON Founder.

Since the tracking of the entrepreneur’s wallets began in February, the value of his assets has decreased by approximately $430,000. His peak net worth reached around $7 billion in September 2021.

According to the Arkham dashboard, Sun’s largest holdings include $306.8 million in TRX, $276.5 million in the stablecoin USDD, and $90.6 million in USDJ.

“Justin Sun earned most of his wealth as a founder and investor in the cryptocurrency market. He is known as the founder of Tron and CEO of BitTorrent […], as well as the owner of the Poloniex exchange and an advisor to another exchange — HTX (formerly Huobi). Sun is also associated with DeFi projects Just (JST) and Sun (SUN), parts of which he may own,” researchers stated.

As of February, Sun was the fifth-largest holder of TRX. Analysts noted that during the ICO in 2017, 34% of the coin’s issuance was allocated to the TRON Foundation, from which the blockchain’s founder likely received a significant portion.

From 2017 to 2023, Sun’s largest crypto assets were Bitcoin and Ethereum, rather than TRX. Between 2017 and 2019, ETH constituted the majority of the businessman’s known holdings, according to Arkham.

According to his profile on OpenSea, Sun owns one NFT from the CryptoPunks collection and 36 non-fungible tokens in The SandBox, with a total value of approximately $175,000 (at the floor price).

He also spent $15 million on purchasing Bored Ape Yacht Club on the Tron blockchain, which he uses as his profile picture on X. Additionally, the entrepreneur paid $10.5 million for Tpunk#3442, resembling the Joker.

Earlier, Arkham reported that Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin’s wealth exceeds $857.5 million.
