Aston Martin Cognizant and Alfa Romeo Racing Orlen to launch fan tokens

The Formula One teams Aston Martin Cognizant and Alfa Romeo Racing Orlen will launch fan tokens on the Chiliz blockchain platform.

Two million fan tokens were distributed among fans, representing $AM and $SAUBER. They will soon be available for sale on the Socios.com platform.

Fan-token holders will gain access to voting in polls, VIP rewards, exclusive offers, augmented-reality features, forums and chats for supporters.

“In the coming years, the generation of passive fans will become active. Engagement through our platform will facilitate this transition,” said Alexandre Dreyfus, CEO of Chiliz and Socios.com.

According to a press release, in 2021 Chiliz fan tokens generated more than $150 million, which Socios.com will share with its partners.

Chiliz has previously partnered with football clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, West Ham United, Atlético Madrid, Barcelona, “Milan” and the UFC UFC.
