August calendar: Litecoin halving and Base public launch
On the last day of July, ForkLog published its traditional calendar of key events for the coming month.
- 1 August — activation of the Shapella upgrade on the Gnosis mainnet.
- 2 August — launch of Evmos protocol version 2.
- 3 August — halving in the Litecoin network.
- 10 August — publication of the consumer price index and inflation data in the United States.
- August — launch of the cryptocurrency exchange Binance in Japan.
- August — public launch of the Base mainnet — an L2 solution from Coinbase.
