
August Hacks Exceed $313 Million, Reports PeckShield
Hackers pilfered digital assets worth $313.86 million in over 10 attacks during August, according to a report by PeckShield.

The two largest phishing attacks accounted for 93.5% ($293.4 million) of the total funds stolen during the month.
Ranking third in the list of breaches was the hack of the Ronin sidechain, involving $12 million, which the hacker later returned in full.
Earlier, estimates by Immunefi suggested that since the beginning of 2024, the crypto industry has lost over $1.2 billion due to hacks and fraud. According to experts, 77% of hacked cryptocurrencies have not recovered in value.
In August, users of the Telegram wallet transferred funds to compromised addresses listed in a phishing message from the official channel.
