September 14 saw the NEARCON BETA 2022 conference conclude. Developers and partners in the NEAR ecosystem announced the запуске USDT on the NEAR blockchain and shared updates on the Aurora L2 solution.
CEO Aurora Labs Alex Shevchenko spoke about recent updates to the Aurora L2 solution. The key among them is an enhanced Aurora+ dashboard. It includes:
- simplified staking interface;
- built-in token swap solution;
- fiat gateway for purchasing the AURORA token with bank cards;
- a referral program with rewards for every user who registers via the link and stakes AURORA.
The Aurora Labs team also added a connector for native NEAR tokens to the Rainbow Bridge. It enables moving any native Aurora token to Ethereum.
Developers updated the Aurora engine to version 2.7.0 and added cross-chain contract calls. Users will be able to interact with NEAR-based decentralized applications from the Aurora network. The engine stores compiled code in WebAssembly (WASM), enabling developers to write NEAR contracts in Solidity.
To support miners, Aurora Labs launched the Aurora MEV — a managed environment for extracting value. It is intended to protect the network from spam and reduce incentives for Sybil attacks.
Aurora is an L2 solution for the NEAR protocol with EVM support. Block creation speed is one second, and transaction finality time is two seconds. More than 190 projects are built on Aurora, including 1inch, SushiSwap, DAI and Brave.
Earlier in September, Aurora Labs paid out to white-hat hackers $2 million for two bugs found.
