Avail to Distribute 600 Million AVAIL Tokens in Airdrop

Avail to Distribute 600 Million AVAIL Tokens in Airdrop

The team behind the modular blockchain Avail will conduct an airdrop for its users, allocating 600 million AVAIL for this purpose.

Avail is positioned as a data availability layer for Optimism, Validium, and other zero-knowledge proof-based solutions that will operate on top of it. The technology enables data availability to be posted and verified off-chain, serving as a key component of the modular network structure concept.

The solution aims to reduce the load on blockchains by offloading data and enhancing scalability “in all directions.”

“The Unification Drop initiative unites and rewards […] valuable participants from various blockchain communities,” the statement reads.

The 600 million tokens will be distributed as follows:

Data: Avail.

The claim application period will last until May 4, 2024. AVAIL will be distributed following the launch of the Avail DA mainnet.

The distribution is not limited to users of the Avail and Polygon ecosystems.

“The unification of Web3 requires integration at the most fundamental level. This [airdrop] involves users of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Cosmos, Avalanche, Near, and others, each contributing uniquely to the blockchain ecosystem,” the message states.

In 2023, Polygon’s Chief Product Officer Anurag Arjun left his position after acquiring the Avail project.
