
Avalanche mainnet goes live
The Avalanche project, whose co-founders include veteran Bitcoin industry figure Emin Gün Sirer, has launched its mainnet.

The AVAX token was listed on the Binance exchange. Trading is open in AVAX/BTC, AVAX/BNB, AVAX/BUSD and AVAX/USDT pairs.

The project’s creators estimate throughput at 4,500 TPS, with finality achieved in a fraction of a second. In their words, Avalanche will demonstrate to the world the true potential of blockchain.
“Whether you are an enterprise, a decentralized organization, a developer, a token holder or an enthusiast, you have the opportunity to use Avalanche,” the statement said.
Earlier in June, Ava Labs raised $12 million in a private token sale led by Bitmain and Galaxy Digital. The public round brought in $42 million.
