The companies are not banks and are not insured by the FDIC. The Avalanche Card is issued by licensed partners.
The card allows spending of USDC, Wrapped AVAX (wAVAX), BENQI Liquid Staked AVAX (sAVAX), and other tokens from non-custodial wallets “wherever Visa is accepted.”
The product is available in both physical and virtual forms. There are no spending fees, though other charges apply.
The card supports instant conversion of cryptocurrencies to fiat, as well as cashback and potential rewards.
Initial jurisdictions include countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The company has opened registration for the waitlist. Compliance with regulatory requirements necessitates KYC verification.
