Avalanche’s AVAX Surges 22% After AWS Partnership Announcement

The company behind Avalanche, Ava Labs, has signed a partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to scale the deployment of blockchain for enterprises, institutions and governments.

The network’s native token AVAX surged. Over the last 24 hours the price jumped 22.6%. At the time of writing the asset was trading around $15.3. For comparison, breaching the $18,000 level Bitcoin gained only 4% over the period.

According to TechCrunch, AWS will support Avalanche’s infrastructure, the ecosystem of dapps, and node deployment. As part of the collaboration Ava Labs will join the AWS Activate startup support program to simplify access to its platform.

“Looking ahead, Web3 and blockchain are inevitable. No one can name the time, date or quarter when this will happen, but it will become mainstream, as we have seen in prior growth cycles. The process appears to be accelerating, and we are pleased to be part of it”, said Howard Wright, AWS vice president.

According to him, Ava Labs will also join the cloud service’s partner program. AWS, in turn, will take part in events under the Avalanche Summit, Avalanche Creates and hackathons.

“We’re still early in building on‑chain applications for enterprises and governments. But the pace of such initiatives will accelerate once Avalanche and AWS offer a more complete and robust solution for their needs”, commented Emin Gün Sirer, founder and CEO of Ava Labs.

In April 2022, the company opened a financing round of $350 million valued at $5.25 billion, according to Bloomberg.
