On March 16, Bakktwill discontinue the consumer-investor app. Users will be able to access a new web interface via the Apex Crypto platform, acquired in November.

Apex Crypto is a service for integrated cryptocurrency trading that provides trade execution, clearing, custody services and tax calculations. The platform supports more than 30 digital assets.

Bakkt will focus on providing crypto services and loyalty services to companies within the framework of the B2B2C-model through SaaS and API-solutions.

“Discontinuing the app will support relationships with partners and their customers,” — explained Gavin Michael, the CEO.

In November 2022, Bakkt signed the definitive agreement to acquire Apex Crypto from Apex Fintech Solutions.

Earlier, the Apex platform became Revolut’s partner as part of the latter’s initiative to expand the range of supported cryptocurrencies for US users. Prior to this, the fintech startup had ended its cooperation with Paxos.
