Bank of Russia blacklists eight firms offering ‘earnings from Bitcoin’
On 17 November, the Bank of Russia expanded its list of entities with signs of illicit activity on the financial market. Eight of them attracted participants under the guise of investments in cryptocurrencies.

Indicators of an illicit professional participant in the securities market were found in the StreamForex and GitexCapital projects. On the latter’s site, in the list of the most popular cryptocurrency exchanges, Mt.Gox and BTC-e—both bankrupt several years ago—rank at the top.

The regulator found signs of \”financial pyramids\” at Advertising Platform (Adviev), Crypto Fusion, Evolution Mining, EvoHash, Jasper Invest and Tanzanite (LEN INV). All of them promised investors unrealistically high returns and referral bonuses.

EvoHash, among other things, allegedly provided rental of mining capacity in data centres powered by solar panels. For an investment of 1 million rubles, the founders promised an annual return of 0.62 BTC.

Earlier in October, the Bank of Russia’s blacklist grew to include a company offering «mining the ruble currency».
