Bankruptcy petition filed against developer of Russia’s ‘national digital currency’

A bankruptcy petition has been filed against Take Wing, a company partly owned by Ruslan Glazyev, son of former State Duma deputy Sergei Glazyev, заявление о банкротстве. The firm previously developed «национальную цифровую валюту» TWCoin.

Take Wing, registered in Moscow в августе 2017 года, предоставляет services in fintech, biotech, blockchain, P2P and precision farming. Ruslan Glazyev’s stake in the company amounts to 33.33%.

The company also has a subsidiary, LLC «Тэйк Уинг Глобал».

The creditor in the bankruptcy case was предприниматель Михаил Филиппов, who performed for the company analytics, development, adaptation and modification of software for computers and databases. Some of these services were not paid; the debt to Filippov amounts to 7,4 млн рублей.

In 2018, Ruslan and Sergei Glazyev prepared a software report «Криптовалюты как новый тип денег». In particular, it was presented at the conference «Тенденции развития интернет и цифровой экономики» in Crimea.

In addition, «Тэйк уинг» developed the «национальную цифровую валюту» TWCoin on the basis of the Quorum blockchain. The project’s white paper was posted on GitHub. The company’s repository is currently пуст.

The Unified Federal Register of Insolvency Information also contains a уведомление от апреля 2021 года about the exclusion of Take Wing from the state register of legal entities.

Additionally, in January 2022 a заявление о банкротстве in relation to the company was filed by a certain Vadim Kostin.

As reported at the World Economic Forum in September 2018, Sergei Glazyev, then adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, presented the project ‘a legal cryptocurrency platform’ Vladex.

BBC reports that 99% of Vladex, registered in Vladivostok, belongs to 24-year-old Kirill Malofeyev, son of businessman Konstantin Malofeyev. The latter has been named by media as involved in the theft of bitcoins from the Wex cryptocurrency exchange.

In the same year Glazyev spoke in support of the cryptoruble.
