BarrelDAO launches sale of limited-edition NFT beer

The decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) BarrelDAO launched a collection of non-fungible tokens (NFT) that can be exchanged for a limited edition of Solana Summer Shandy beer.

The beer cans are adorned with images from various Solana-based NFT collections. Among them are DeGods, Degenerate Ape Academy, Okay Bears, Solana Monkey Business, and others.

The DAO released 333 NFTs, each redeemable for 16 cans of beer. One token will cost 1.35 SOL (about $41.2 at the time of writing). Shipping included to the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

Earlier, Solana Labs unveiled a Web3-oriented smartphone Saga running on the Android operating system. It is expected to go on sale in early 2023 at a price of $1000.

In late July Solana Foundation opened a store, focused on engaging with the Solana ecosystem. The space is located in the Hudson Yards shopping centre on Manhattan (New York, USA).

In Munich, enthusiasts decided to combine their love of beer with an interest in Web3 and to move the local brewery to the principles of a DAO.
