Belarusian Bitcoin Exchanges Describe Operations Amid Internet Shutdown
Internet connectivity problems have affected every company operating in Belarus, but local cryptocurrency exchanges have managed to minimise the risks. ForkLog learned this from representatives of Belarusian companies.
\n
The risk of an internet outage in a single country does not affect the operation of the Currency.com crypto exchange in any way, as the company is fully prepared for this, said Viktor Prokopenya, founder of VP Capital, to ForkLog.
\n
He emphasised that all platform services are operating normally.
\n
Currency.com had already relocated some staff to offices in other countries, he added.
\n
The CEO of Belarusian exchange FREE2EX, Artem Strelchenok, also stated that the platform is operating normally. Clients in Belarus have encountered difficulties.
\n
At present, for reasons beyond our control, Belarusians are having trouble accessing the trading platform. Nevertheless, customers report that they are doing so using a VPN. For the same reasons, FREE2EX users in Belarus may experience delays when contacting customer support, he said.
\n
In Belarus, the internet has not been fully functioning for several days. Experts told ForkLog about possible causes.
