BigONE Exchange Hacked for $27 Million

The cryptocurrency exchange BigONE has fallen victim to an attack, resulting in the loss of crypto assets worth over $27 million, according to experts from SlowMist.

The hackers managed to compromise the production network and alter the operating logic of servers responsible for accounts and risk control. Private keys remained secure.

The exchange confirmed the incident and provided the following updates:

The platform has promised to cover all losses from its own funds. User funds will not be affected, as internal reserves in BTC, ETH, USDT, SOL, and XIN will be used. For other stolen tokens, borrowed funds are expected to be utilized.

Back in June, the Iranian cryptocurrency exchange Nobitex was hacked for $81.7 million. In February, Bybit suffered a loss of $1.46 billion.
