Billionaire Alan Howard’s hedge fund to invest in digital assets.
Brevan Howard Asset Management, the hedge fund founded by billionaire Alan Howard, has opened BH Digital, a unit for investing in cryptocurrencies, according to Reuters.
The unit will be led by Colleen Sullivan, head of CMT Digital, who will also serve as chair of the crypto strategy council.
Colleen Sullivan’s track record in venture investing will be a huge advantage for Brevan Howard’s clients. The launch of BH Digital will allow the company to \”significantly expand\” its presence in the cryptocurrency space, said Brevan Howard CEO Aron Landy.
In April, it was reported that Brevan Howard will invest up to 1.5% of the AUM totaling $5.6 billion directly in digital assets.
Earlier, Alan Howard participated in funding rounds for the custody service Komainu, its competitor Copper, micropayments service Bottlepay, the hedge fund One River Digital.
