Binance and Cristiano Ronaldo to release exclusive NFT collection

The cryptocurrency exchange Binance has signed a multiyear agreement with Manchester United footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. As part of the partnership, the two parties will release an exclusive NFT collection for the Binance NFT platform.

According to the пресс-релизу, the launch of the first collection is planned for the end of 2022. It is not yet known what the NFTs will look like. The company noted that these are “iconic models” created in collaboration with the footballer.

“[Ronaldo] has built one of the most loyal fan bases in the world thanks to his individuality, talent and charitable work. We are pleased to offer his fans exclusive opportunities to engage with the idol and own a piece of the legendary sports history,” said Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao.

Earlier, Ukrainian football club Shakhtar Donetsk launched an NFT collection on Binance NFT. Proceeds will be directed to humanitarian aid for people affected by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Earlier in June 2022 Binance became a partner of The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn tour.
