Bitcoin exchanges Binance and FTX are among the bidders for Voyager Digital’s assets, while Coinbase has walked away from a potential deal. CoinDesk reports, citing sources familiar with the matter.
Bids to participate in the auction scheduled for September 29 are being accepted until September 6. According to a presentation dated August 4 интерес проявили 22 firms.
According to sources, Binance is making efforts to acquire institutional assets. The exchange declined to confirm or deny its participation in the auction, citing company policy.
On August 18, in an interview with The New York Times, CEO Changpeng Zhao said Voyager Digital had held talks with them after making a similar request.
FTX remains among the contenders. Previously, the exchange had its предложение for the crypto broker’s restructuring rejected. Company representatives declined to comment.
According to reports, Coinbase has exited the list of potential buyers after its staff concluded that “the crypto broker’s financials do not add up”.
