Binance announced €100 million investment in France.

The cryptocurrency exchange Binance announced a partnership with French startup incubator Station F and €100 million in investments as part of expanding its presence in Europe.

“France has a unique opportunity to lead the industry in Europe,” said Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao at the Paris Blockchain Week conference.

Participants in the incubator will receive support from Binance teams BNB Chain, NFT Labs and Binance Labs to develop their ideas, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with the exchange’s partners.

“We hope to help everyone who wants to enter the Web 3.0 world understand blockchain and cryptocurrencies better,” said Station F director Susanne Varza.

Zhao said that the French Binance team already numbers 50 employees.

During his talk at the conference, Zhao also said that Binance had obtained licenses in four jurisdictions and was in talks with regulators in more than 40 countries.

In 2022, approvals for the exchange to operate were granted by the authorities of Bahrain, Dubai and the Abu Dhabi Free Zone Abu Dhabi.
