The funds will be used by the developers to build a “safe and scalable blockchain,” expand the team, and develop the project’s infrastructure.
“We are confident that the team’s technological competitiveness will increase the scalability of blockchain infrastructure, and also support new Web3 use cases Web3,” said Yi He, head of Binance Labs.
The deal amount was not disclosed.
In March 2022, Aptos attracted $200 million in a funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz. Other participants included Multicoin Capital, Coinbase Ventures, Katie Haun, Three Arrows Capital, ParaFi Capital, IRONGREY, Hashed, Variant, Tiger Global, BlockTower, FTX Ventures and Paxos.
In July the startup closed a Series A round of $150 million. It was led by FTX Ventures and Jump Crypto.
In August Binance Labs invested in the infrastructure project Ankr.
