Binance Co-Founder to Share CEO Role with Richard Teng

Yi He appointed Co-CEO of Binance with Richard Teng.

Binance co-founder Yi He has been appointed as Co-CEO of the cryptocurrency exchange. The company announced this during the Binance Blockchain Week conference in Dubai.

She will lead the platform alongside the current CEO, Richard Teng.

Teng described this appointment as a natural step in the evolution of the management structure. He highlighted He’s pivotal role in shaping the company’s vision, culture, and business strategy since its inception.

The co-founder of the trading platform announced plans to expand global presence and build Web3 infrastructure. She emphasized the importance of Teng’s experience in traditional financial market regulation for the industry’s further growth.

The exchange’s management also reported that the client base is nearing 300 million people. The platform’s long-term goal is to attract 1 billion users.

He has worked at Binance since its founding in 2017. Previously, she served as the Director of Customer Service and was responsible for business strategy and corporate culture.

Former head of the exchange, Changpeng Zhao, congratulated the new leader. According to him, He should have taken this position “from day one.”

He added that two strong leaders with complementary skills will ensure the company’s success.

In November, Binance increased its stablecoin reserves to a record $51.1 billion.
