Binance held trainings for Ukraine's Security Service and cyber police

The cryptocurrency exchange Binance organised trainings for Ukraine’s law enforcement and regulatory authorities, according to the exchange’s representatives, ForkLog reported.

The training program consisted of online seminars on blockchain and cryptocurrencies. A Binance spokesperson outlined the platform’s anti-money-laundering policy and the methods the company has developed to detect and prevent potential fraud.

Attendees included cyber police officers, SBU and the National Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA).

“Ukraine is forced to respond to continuous challenges every day. Among them are financial crimes that threaten the stability and security of the country’s financial ecosystem. Our goal is to unite efforts to prevent cybercrime and, in particular, the financing of terrorism,” said Kirill Khomyakov, General Manager of Binance in Ukraine and Central Europe.

Over the past year, the Binance Investigations team has conducted and participated in more than 30 seminars on combating cyber and financial crime with law-enforcement agencies in various countries.

As noted, since November 2022, ARMA and the largest cryptocurrency exchanges have been exchanging information about Bitcoin wallet owners in the context of criminal proceedings.
