Binance Kazakhstan, a cryptocurrency exchange, and the national postal operator Kazpost have signed a memorandum of understanding, representatives of the platform informed ForkLog.
The parties expressed mutual interest in implementing innovative financial services in the republic.
The primary aim of the partnership is to “ensure the accessibility and ease of use of digital assets, relevant tools, as well as to enhance financial literacy and inclusivity among the population of Kazakhstan.”
“Kazpost is a significant infrastructure partner for fintech market participants, which means that soon Kazakhstan will see new and exciting online services and IT projects in various fields,” noted Asem Bolatzhan, managing director of the postal operator.
Asel Murzabekova, head of compliance and reporting for Binance’s Kazakhstan division, noted that within the framework of cooperation, the parties will focus on “the implementation and development of a crypto-fiat channel,” which will ensure an influx of new users.
Previously, Binance Kazakhstan received certificates from the International Organization for Standardization in the field of information security.
In 2023, the exchange’s division, in collaboration with the local National Bank and the National Payment Corporation, launched a test stablecoin on the BNB Smart Chain, backed by digital tenge.
