Binance has become a partner of The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn tour. It is described as the first global concert tour to employ Web 3.0 technologies. Company representatives told ForkLog this.
In collaboration with the HXOUSE team, the exchange will release an exclusive NFT collection for The Weeknd’s tour and a jointly branded merchandise line.
As part of the collaboration, Binance will also donate $2 million to the XO humanitarian fund established by The Weeknd. The fund supports people in humanitarian crises in hotspots of hunger around the world.
In addition, the singer and Binance will develop a separate NFT collection. 5% of its sales will be donated to the fund.
Last year, The Weeknd released a track as an NFT.
In March 2022, he invested in the metaverse-focused startup Everyrealm.
