Binance resumes operations in Belgium

The cryptocurrency exchange Binance has reopened registrations and access to its services for Belgian users, three months after reports of problems with the local regulator.

New registrations by Belgian residents are welcome again on our platform, Binance said.

To access the platform’s products, customers must accept the Terms of Use. The statement does not specify what changes were made to them to resume serving Belgian users. 

Earlier in June 2023, the local Financial Services and Markets Authority ordered Binance to immediately cease providing digital asset-related services in the country. The ban was explained on the basis that the exchange provides services from states that are not members of the EEA.

In late August, Binance said it was prepared to continue serving Belgian clients through its Polish subsidiary
