Binance suspends euro deposits via SEPA

The cryptocurrency exchange Binance notified users of the suspension of euro deposits via the SEPA payment system SEPA.

The exchange’s representatives stressed that the decision is temporary. It will take effect on July 7 at 10:00 MSK.

“This decision is due to circumstances beyond our control.”

SEPA withdrawals remain available.

Earlier in June, the UK financial regulator FCA prohibited Binance Markets Limited from any regulated activity in the country without prior written approval. The exchange said that the said entity did not provide services on the binance.com domain.

After that, Barclays barred customers from transferring funds to Binance.

Earlier, Binance began checks on the Cayman Islands, in Thailand they accused it of operating without a license, and in Japan another warning was issued.
