Binance to Launch Build The Block Reality Show in the Metaverse

The cryptocurrency exchange Binance announced plans to host the reality show Build The Block in the metaverse. Viewers and a panel of judges will determine which of the 12 Web3-developers is worthy of becoming the next major project in the space.

For the first time ever, we’re bringing the thrill of reality shows to the metaverse with #BuildTheBlock!

Watch as 12 teams battle it out to impress a live audience and a panel of judges, hoping to become the next big Web3 entrepreneur.

The reality show is scheduled to begin on May 12. New episodes will be available on Tuesdays and Fridays on Binance Live and YouTube.

“One of the teams may become a big champion, turning its dream into reality. […] In a fully virtual world […] they will have to overcome moments of high tension and make an impression to reach the top”, — says the promo video.

Among the participants are Mind Network, Kryptoskatt, Sandbags Protocol, Wallet Guard, Notebook labs, ZKPass, PiP, The Harvest, Braket Labs, dappOS and two additional unidentified projects.

Further details about Build The Block were not known at the time of writing.

As of the end of Q1 2023, assets under management by Binance’s venture arm reached $9 billion.

In November 2022, Binance Labs allocated $1 billion to the Web3-industry recovery fund. Since then, the group has provided financing to 14 companies, with around 60 more candidates under consideration.
