Binance to launch crypto-education programme at an Argentine university

The cryptocurrency exchange Binance and Austral Campus Pilar University in Argentina have partnered to launch the country’s first blockchain education program. Forbes Argentina reports.

A five-month training will introduce students and faculty to blockchain, decentralisation, Web3-segment, metaverses and trading of digital assets.

“We recognise the importance and potential of coordinated collaboration between industry and education to bring our graduates into the business world and provide innovative solutions to contemporary problems,” said Luis Dambra, Dean of the Faculty of Business Sciences at the university.

Binance’s representative in South America, Maximiliano Hinz, noted that the company regards providing accessible education to society as a necessity for developing the blockchain industry and Web3 technologies.

“Latin America has significant potential as an international crypto hub, and we are excited to contribute to this,” he added.

In April, Binance announced plans to expand its services in inflation-hit Argentina. The platform will allow buying and selling digital assets directly through Argentine pesos.

In May, Argentina’s central bank developed new guidelines related to cryptocurrency. The document was drawn up following IMF recommendations to curb the use of digital assets in the country.
