The cryptocurrency exchange Binance said it would support “network updates and hard forks” for the Avalanche, Tezos and Theta Network projects. During the upgrade period, the platform will suspend deposits and withdrawals of AVAX, XTZ and THETA, respectively.
#Binance will support the @avalancheavax $AVAX, @tezos $XTZ, and @Theta_Network $THETA network upgrades and hard forks.https://t.co/eZ9bUh4nTf

Avalanche
The mainnet update for Avalanche is scheduled for about December 2 at 21:00 (MSK). Node operators must upgrade the AvalancheGo software to version 1.7.0 or higher. Nodes running older software may be taken offline.
❄️❄️ Reminder: #Avalanche Apricot Phase 5 activates tomorrow at 1 PM EST ❄️❄️
Because this upgrade includes protocol optimizations that are not compatible with AvalancheGo < v1.7.0, your node will be marked offline if you don’t upgrade before *1 PM EST*!https://t.co/YLFhqtbyuJ https://t.co/Wm4CiwMELn

Apricot Phase Five (AP5) activated in the Avalanche testnet on November 23. The upgrade includes the following improvements:
- atomic transfers of native tokens ANT between the X-Chain, C-Chain and P-Chain;
- batching of atomic transactions;
- optimization of the fee calculation algorithm on the contract chain (C-Chain).
Tezos
The Hangzhou upgrade on the Tezos network will be activated at block 1,916,929, which is expected to be mined on December 3 or 4. Current estimate: December 4 at 03:09 (MSK). Bakers using Octez must upgrade to version 11.0.3.
Dear Bakers,
The activation of Hangzhou will take place between December 3rd & 4th.
This means that the @tezos network will officially adopt its 8th amendment, and the 4th in 2021.

Developers emphasised that the upcoming upgrade will lay the groundwork for the planned 2022 consensus update — Tenderbake. It includes the following improvements:
- View features enabling smart contracts to read data from storage of other smart contracts;
- Timelock primitive type allowing transactions to be broadcast to the mempool in encrypted form and decrypted just before signing a block. This is how developers plan to combat flash bots;
- caching data that smart contracts regularly access;
- introduction of a global constants table.
Theta Network
The Theta Network hard fork will occur at block 13,123,789, which is expected to be mined on December 5 at approximately 04:00 (MSK). Node operators must upgrade the software, otherwise desynchronisation will occur.
Theta protocol v3.2.0 is out, effective at block 13123789 (~5pm PT Dec 4)!https://t.co/1yP3tJPNg8
Updates: EVM enhancements in preparation for THETA token support in smart contracts, plus RPC support for block range queries

The upgrade includes the following improvements:
- preparation for support of THETA tokens in smart contracts;
- enhancements to the RPC functionality and efficiency.
As reported, on 30 November the Bruno hard fork occurred on the Binance Smart Chain.
