Binance VIP clients see favorable long-term prospects for crypto investments

88% of Binance’s institutional users surveyed view the long-term prospects for digital assets positively. The data come from the исследовании conducted by the trading platform.

The survey, conducted from March 31 to May 15, drew 208 VIP clients from around the world.

63.5% of respondents view cryptocurrencies positively over the next 12 months. According to respondents, broad adoption of digital assets will be driven primarily by real-world use cases (26.9%) and regulatory clarity (25.3%). Only 3.4% agree that price appreciation will influence this.

Despite volatility in crypto markets over the past year, 47.1% of investors continued to hold their existing coins, and 35.6% increased their investments. Only 17.3% reduced their investment.

50% of respondents plan to increase, and 45.7% to maintain the size of their investments over the next 12 months. Only 4.3% are considering withdrawing part of their funds.

47.3% of VIP clients are more positive about Bitcoin. 33.2% prefer altcoins.

For 53.9% of investors, infrastructure is the most important sector for them or their fund. The following are Layer 1 and Layer 2 technologies — 48.1% and 43.8% respectively. 51% cited the importance of wallet innovations (for example, self-directed payments, improvements in UX/UI).

The most compelling argument in favour of crypto investments, 42.8% say, is the possibility of higher returns. Another 37.5% are interested in long-term access to new technologies.

Centralised exchanges remain the most preferred for institutional trading (90.5%) and custodial services (58.2%). Liquidity (28%), security (26%), and reputation (22.5%) are the three main criteria when choosing a trading platform.

“Institutions entering new markets are typically oriented toward the long term. Our research shows that the same is true for crypto assets, given respondents’ positive outlook and their belief in use cases as drivers of adoption rather than prices,” said Catherine Chen, Head of Binance VIP & Institutional.

Earlier, in a Valentine’s Day-timed survey, 83% of Binance customers said that interest in cryptocurrencies could become an advantage in romantic relationships.
